David Brown Automotive reveals new Mini Remastered Marshall Edition

David Brown Automotive has revealed the limited edition Mini Remastered Marshall Edition.

The car is made in collaboration with iconic audio equipment company, Marshall Amplification, in celebration of its 60th anniversary, and will be limited to just 60 examples globally.

Additional speakers in the doors work alongside new dashtop-mounted tweeters to upgrade the audio experience in the Mini Remastered Marshall Edition

Externally, the Mini Remastered Marshall Edition is set apart by its bespoke colour scheme, which will stay exclusive to the limited edition cars.

The cars get a ‘Marshall Black’ paint on the exterior, complemented by dark-chrome exterior brightwork. The darker finish is then offset by contrasting ‘Marshall Gold’ painted accents, which appear as a coachline around the roof, as well as on the pinstripes and Marshall logos on the side doors.

The use of the Marshall signature colours also is continued around the car. The ‘Marshall Gold’ is used on the brake calipers, and it also adorns the rims of the car’s 12-inch wheels, which are capped off with Marshall ‘M’ logo centres.

The limited edition car also gets the Marshall iconic gold on its seats, dashboard, handbrake grip, door panel blades and door releases

At the front of the car, the mesh grille has been designed to look like the front of Marshall’s audio equipment, here also finished in gold while hand-made, unique badges to the model have been developed, featuring ‘Marshall Gold’ enamelling.

Moving inside, the Mini Remastered Marshall Edition gets an exquisitely appointed interior, adorned with gold finishes to the dashboard centre, switchgear, and control panel, as well as the handbrake grip, sculptural side door panel blades and gleaming door releases.

Of particular interest here are the car’ pedals, which are finished in gold and sport the ‘skip track’, ‘pause’ and ‘play’ motifs engraved within them. The seats here also wear gold contrast stitching, while the back rests are adorned with embroidered Marshall logos.

At the rear of the Mini Remastered Marshall Edition is a Marshall DSL1 Combo amplifier, so you can jam even when outside the studio

And as you might expect, the limited edition car also comes with audio upgrades. These include the addition of dashtop-mounted tweeters, additional speakers in the doors, and upgraded equipment fitted to the rear parcel shelf. The glove box of the car also features an induction charging point for Marshall’s just-launched Motif A.N.C wireless headphones.

At the rear of the Mini Remastered Marshall Edition is a leather-lined luggage compartment, specially engineered to house a fully-integrated Marshall DSL1 Combo amplifier that slides out for access, and is linked up to an independent power supply for total versatility. The comprehensive audio package is rounded off by a powerful Marshall ‘Emberton’ portable Bluetooth speaker, also neatly integrated into the boot.

The Mini Remastered Marshall Edition is powered by the same 1.3-litre engine, mated to a five-speed manual gearbox as with the regular Mini Remastered model from David Brown Automotive.
